Many of us have heard of the recent anti-Israel boycott
emanating from the
standard fare coming from those "good friends".
What absolutely blows the mind are their
spokesperson's justifications for how they arrived at
their biased positions and pronouncements.
See below how the human intellect can be so twisted and
any extreme, one-sided policy can be so horribly rationalized
relying on misleading, distorted and patently false
misinformation. Keep in mind, what you read following is the
thinking of a "man of the cloth", a respected leader of thousands
of everyday Canadians, who has "let his hair down" and presents
us with an unguarded moment of his unvarnished, innermost
thoughts on Israel and her people (read: Jews).
And that is what is truly scary about this man and his likeminded
friends in high pastoral places. They are our neighbours and
fellow Canadians. They will make every attempt to convince
other Canadians of their twisted thinking. They will try their
best to promote and promulgate their blatantly anti-Israel
policies within government and to influence their thousands of
members to vote accordingly in the next election.
We must be up to the task!

In light of yesterday's unprovoked attack by Hezbollah on
Israel, please advise whether your task force intends to
recommend that the United Church divest itself of investments
connected to Lebanon, Iran and/or Syria. As you will have
read, Hezbollah considers its attack to have been within

avoided considering for decades, earnest negotiations with
the Palestinians.

responses to any and all provocations, even when they amount
to a response to the mere embarassment of tunnelling under
Israeli security barriers (concrete and electrical!) and abducting

world which views the iindifference of that global community,
plus the United States' uncritical support of Israel to the tune

Palestinians see them as freedom fighters against the illegal
