Day of Rage: What Else is New?
Written by Arlene PeckSaturday, September 23, 2006
For years, I have been writing about the biased treatment of
Don't bet on it.
I never thought that I would be feeling sorry for the Catholic church and the Pope getting a ‘bad rap’ by the mainstream media . The Pope! Not because he said something original or revolutionary either. He merely quoted a medieval text referring to the deeds and teachings of the Prophet of Islam.
Well, the Muslims have been reacting to the ‘apology’ from the Pope. Too bad he backed down and turned the other cheek to them. Since the
I don’t doubt that somehow the latest actions by the Islamic world will end up being the fault of the Jews. It always is; always has been. Does anyone go on a rampage when synagogues are bombed and Jewish day schools are desecrated?
Well, now they are reacting to the ‘apology’ from the
I keep waiting for an outcry from the Christian community with a “million-person march in a multitude of countries.” Hey, I’m willing to take time out myself to go and march with them. Apparently, they are too busy sipping lattés and going to the gym to be very vocal. Besides, they might be reluctant to take on the Muslim masses who believe they are in midst of an 8th century Jihad - rampaging through the streets, burning, raping and killing in the name of Allah.
By the same token, we never see a Christian response when a church is bombed or torn down, often to prepare the way for a mosque. Or when a priest, minister or nun is murdered as happens regularly around the world (and happened just the other day, in the
At one time, I almost bought into the idea that the fanatical Muslims that we see on our nightly news were just a small part of very large, peaceful culture. An insignificant aberration. No more. Now I believe that if you were normal in any sense of the word, and saw followers of your religion acting the way the Islamofascists act, if nothing else, you might be just a little bit embarrassed. It has now gotten to the point where the silence is deafening. Millions should be parading down our streets carrying American flags and protest signs demonstrating that they are against the savagery we have all come to expect from the Muslim community. Instead, they’ve learned they can use our laws, get CAIR (The Council on American-Islamic Relations) or better yet, the ACLU (The American Civil Liberties Union) to obtain court-ordered injunctions, file lawsuits and hold media-covered symposia about their ‘rights’ and we’ll do whatever it is that they want.
We, in the civilized world, are only now becoming aware of the plans that fanatical Muslems have had for us for centuries. I remember thirty years ago, I chaired a Jewish Discussion Group at the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary. I found it puzzling when the guys in my group, most of whom were also in the NAACP group, began to come in wearing the skull caps and carrying the Koran. They loved me because I was able to bring in kosher food for the Jewish inmates, who never numbered more than ten out of a prison population of 2,800. As a result, the Muslims were able to get their special food for Ramadan. I had no idea what that was then. But, I know now that even then, this prison was a breeding ground for the Muslim indoctrination into Jihad and hate. And it has been fermenting, for all these year, in prisons, mosques, and Muslim schools.
It is ludicrous that we continue to give our tax dollars to any institution or school in this country, or elsewhere, to supplement their violent and hate-filled teachings. We should be fighting Islamofascist terrorism, not underwriting it!
