Jewish man attacked for wearing kippah on train in Australia

Police in Australia are investigating an attack on a Jewish man who was attacked and abused over his religion on a Melbourne train. Danny Pollak, 27, was travelling on Tuesday night when he was approached by a group of men. He was wearing his kippah at the time and hit on the head by the men. "Unfortunately I'm used to people insulting me because I'm Jewish or because I'm wearing my yarmulke," he told an Australian newspaper, adding: "But it is really the first time that I have actually been physically assaulted so I was really a bit shocked and shaken up by it."
Meanwhile, the accused Nazi war criminal Charles Zentai, 84, has failed in his legal bid to avoid extradition from Australia to Hungary. Hungary wants to try Zentai over allegations that he tortured and murdered a Jewish teenager in Budapest while serving in the army during World War II. Zentai appeared in the Perth Magistrate's Court after an unsuccessful Federal Court of Australia challenge against extradition proceedings.
