Time to “Leave Egypt”.

I wrote this article 5 years ago. Unfortunately the problem still exists.

Every year Jews celebrate the exodus from Egypt and freedom from slavery. It took place 3,320 years ago. It was a fundamental event in Jewish history. At the same time, it symbolizes not just freedom from physical slavery. The Passover reminds us that internal freedom of mind and spirit are even more significant. This freedom allows us real freedom of choice.

Jews have nothing to apologise for. We have the right to live in peace on Jewish land in our own country. We lived in Gallut (exile, slave mentality) for too long. It is time to say – “NO more”!

I am ashamed and feel sorry for those Jews who have no self-respect and are helping enemies to destroy Israel. Why do they hate themselves so much?

I do respect non-Jewish people who do not know and do not care about the Arab-Israel conflict. They are honest hard working people who have their own problems and interests. At the same time, there is a danger when opinions are formed under the influence of selectively presented information, provided by mainly a press that is biased against Israel. People become attached to the belief system they have adopted and it is difficult to change it. For Jews the understanding of the conflict and support for Israel is existential! I would like to remind all of them:

1. Israel is on a front line of the war between Arab-Muslim expansionism and Western democracy. This war has already shifted to America and Europe.

2. According to the UN’s own legal opinion: Judea, Samaria and Gaza do not belong to any country at the moment. Therefore, it is wrong to call them ‘Occupied Territories’. They used to be a part of Jewish land 2000 years ago and were allocated by the League of Nations for the creation of Eretz-Israel in 1922. There was never an Arab country in Palestine.

3. So-called Palestinians are Arabs and Muslims who moved to the territories during the last 130 years, after the Zionist pioneers started to revitalize the land.

4. Arabs have no intention of living in peace with Jews. When former president of Egypt Nasser was asked: Why do you continue to fight Israel after so many defeats? His answer was: “Because. We need to win only one war!” Please make no mistake, the Arabs’ aim is total destruction of the Jewish state!

5. Arabs do respect charisma and strong leadership. It is time for Israel and her government to show it and end terror.

6. Enemies and so-called friends have never treated Jewish people as equals. They will never support Israel unconditionally regardless of facts. They do not care about facts and deliberately distort or falsify them (remember the fake massacre of Jenin and how much noise they made about it).

7. After 60 years of wars and terror, it is time to become an Independent nation with self-respect and be equal among equals. No more double standards!

8. Israel was created to fulfil a 2000 year-old national inspiration of Jewish people. Jews have the right to regain control over all Jewish land. The time is NOW!

At the same time, I am ashamed and feel sorry for Jews who advocate destruction of Israel. Why do they hate themselves so much?

Enemies Know Jews Well - Plan for Demise of Israel!

The enemies of Israel, regardless of their political or religious shade, are not hiding their plan, which remains the same, for the future of Israel and Jews – total obliteration of the state of Israel and “Throw Jews to the Sea!” And they are betting on current Jewish apathy, political correctness and self-destructiveness of Israeli society, as well as an inept, corrupt and self-hating leadership. For how long will we continue kidding ourselves by participating in this bogus peace process?

According to a recent poll, 65% of Israeli Jews oppose the State of Israel making any further withdrawals from Judea and Samaria (the land commonly known in the US as “the West Bank”), while only 24% support more withdrawals. By continuing the policy of surrender of Jewish land to the enemy Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his fellow Oslo traitors, Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak, Tsipi Livni etc - all oppose the will of Israeli populace and are obliterating the Jewish National dream.

Holocaust Analogies and Anti-Semitism

Blogmaster's remarks: If someone were to publish cartoons in Israel about Arabs as degrading and inflammatory as those published about Jews by newspapers across the Arab world, the publisher in Israel would be jailed for incitement. This is yet another graphic example of the fundamental differences between the psyche of Jews vs. our Arab neighbors. They preach "hate", we preach "peace"; they revere "death" while we love "life". We give them electricity while they fire rockets at the power plant. What is there not to be understood by the rest of the world about the right and wrong of the conflict between Israel and our neighbors? Our desire for a peaceful solution to this conflict cannot be doubted... we have agreed to give away sizable portions of our land to appease this band of hooligans who only demand more. Now I suggest that it is time that the pendulum swings the other way for a change. We are tired of concessions, we are tired of bombings, and rocket attacks; we are fed up with our citizens being murdered and maimed and quite simply, we are sick and tired of our soldiers dying to keep out terrorists and we are fed up with the terrorists amongst us! It is time we screamed to the tops of our lungs ENOUGH! It is time that we stopped bowing to CondiSleeza Rice, and kissing the collective toucheses of the EU and the UN. It is long overdue that we begin to respond to terrorism and aggression the way any other free and democratic nation would respond. And how is that you ask? I can answer you this way... how do you think any other country would respond if her neighboring country were rocketing their citizens daily? Pretty simple, isn't it?

Holocaust Analogies and Anti-Semitism

The barrage of rocket fire from Gaza and Israel’s military action to stem the attacks on its cities have prompted an outpouring of offensive and bigoted commentary in the Arab press, whose response came in the form of a series of rapid-fire editorial cartoons using swastikas, classical anti-Semitic images and other hateful references to the Holocaust to vilify Israel and portray the Jewish state as an aggressor with genocidal ambitions.

Many of the cartoons are rife with Holocaust imagery and blatant analogies between Israel’s defensive military action and the killing of European Jews during the Holocaust in World War II.

The cartoons feature swastikas and describe the defensive measures Israel has taken as a “Holocaust” in Gaza. Holocaust imagery and direct comparisons to the Holocaust are a common feature of the anti-Semitic cartoons that regularly appear in Arab newspapers across the Middle East and throughout the Muslim world.

NEW DOCUMENT UNCOVERED FROM WARSAW GHETTO

Archeologists in Poland have just discovered an amazing document, uncovered from beneath rubble left over in what was once the Warsaw Ghetto:

A Letter and Call to Sanity for the Warsaw Ghetto zealots, from the Peace Now chapter of Warsaw, April 23, 1943.

Dear Deluded Brethren,A few days ago some zealots from certain messianic settler organizations operating in Warsaw launched a series of acts of unprovoked violence against the legitimate German peace partners directing peace-seeking activities here in Warsaw. A number of German soldiers and officers have been viciously murdered, while others have been maimed and injured by these thoughtless religious fundamentalists.

Comrades, we must emphasize that these violent hoodlums are deluded and are making things much worse for everyone else here in the Warsaw Ghetto. You have to understand that there are no military solutions to the problems of deportations of Jews in Warsaw by the Germans. Our problems can only be resolved through negotiations.

We lovers of peace insist that, in spite of the claims of these messianic terrorists provoking the Germans, there IS a partner for negotiations among the Germans, and we Warsaw Jews DO have a moral responsibility to conduct good faith negotiations with the legitimate representatives of the German people.

In addition, violent attacks by irresponsible Jewish settlers in the ghetto against Germans will only provoke a cycle of violence. There can be no winners in that.

Don't these people conducting the hooligan violence understand that, if they attack the Nazi troops and refuse to conduct negotiations with the agents sent to us by the Third Reich, Hitler will lose control of his forces and then some really violent anti-Semite could take over?

Besides, Hitler is really trying his best to rein in the more violent of his stormtroopers; he simply cannot be everywhere at once. And besides, the Red Army and the Eastern front have him so preoccupied that he cannot act more effectively against the renegade SS terrorists mistreating Jews.

In addition, the Germans do have some legitimacy to their negotiating position. After all, Jews in Poland have been illegally occupying numerous Polish territories that really belong to Aryans! The Jews have established themselves in numerous Polish settlements where they just do not belong and their presence there has antagonized some of the local oppressed people.

Horrendous inequality has been created by Jewish racism, since the Jews in Poland are better educated than the Gentiles here and Jews in Warsaw earned more than non-Jews before the war. This manifestation of anti-Gentilism must be redressed. We need some affirmative action to help the Polish non-Jews advance in society.

Moreover, some Polish civilians apparently were victims of Jewish pickpockets in Warsaw before the war. We Jews certainly need to pay compensation for those inexcusable provocations.

Clearly the solution is two ghettos for two peoples. The Warsaw ghetto needs to be shared. The Jews in one half must agree to be deported peacefully from that half to other destinations, so that the Germans and the Poles can have equal rights in the New Middle Europe. The Polish right of return to the ghetto needs to be addressed. The entire tragedy that we have experienced stems from the selfish inability of so many Jews to share their property and land.

We repeat, violence has never solved anything. Violence only foments more violence. The violent Warsaw settlers attacking the innocent Germans are bigots and racists. They have wounded innocent bystanders in their firefights. Not only that, but the ghetto zealots attacking Germans have demonstrated insufficient sensitivity to the needs of non-traditional families and gay couples. They have been insensitive to the impact of their behavior upon the environment and the threat of global warming.

We need to speak out in defense of the human rights of Germans and Poles in the vicinity of the ghetto. We must denounce the racist Zionist hooligans and messianic zealots attacking those victims. Jewish terrorism against Germans must be stopped. The entire crisis could be resolved if we Jews would only recognize the legitimate rights to self-determination of the Germans, especially the ones in Danzig.

We must begin negotiations at once. Those claiming that there is no peace partner on the German side are deluded and they are the real obstacle to peace. We simply have to give Hitler a chance. He just wants a homeland for his own people and his fair share of our territory! In addition, we should stop giving encouragement to that neoconservative warmonger Winston Churchill. Doesn't he realize that his plan to occupy other peoples cannot work?

Let's take a lesson from our rich and wonderful heritage. The Bible itself calls upon us to pursue peace.

Stop the shooting. Start the talking. Now!

OWNED BY JEWS BUT NOT JEWISH PROPERTY?

Three “Nos” to Beit HaShalom

After years of negotiations and careful legal process, the Jewish community of Hebron closed on the purchase of Beit HaShalom, a large four story building between Kiryat Arba and Hebron, and families began moving in at the end of March. Eight families, including many children (the youngest at this writing a few days old, the grandchild of longtime leader in the Hebron community David Wilder) are now in residence. The Israeli military commander of the Hebron region has been supportive, saying this was a highly strategic location, so much so that he is using its roof as a lookout post to monitor the surrounding area.

Unfortunately the story does not end here. When the identity of one of the Arabs involved in the transaction came to light, in danger of being tortured and murdered by fellow Arabs, he denounced the sale documents as forgeries. (He shrugged off film of himself counting the money he’d received for the building.) The Israeli Supreme Court ordered an investigation and the police found the papers in order, the purchase legal. Not satisfied the highly politicized Supreme Court ordered a second investigation, with the police ordered to present their findings within 45 days. But the police repeatedly asked for extensions (probably because they could find nothing wrong).

With winter approaching this has meant severe hardship for the families in the building, which is little more than a shell. Without a special permit from the Defense Ministry or the quasi-military Israeli Civil Administration which is under its jurisdiction, they are forbidden to make any changes during “the investigation.” The Hebron community leadership applied for a permit on humanitarian grounds to install windows, put in electric lines for heat and tar the badly leaking roof. The request reached Defense Minister Barak who said no to all three. This decision was appealed to the Civil Administration military panel—again the same response, no, no, no.

What is going on here? David Wilder points out that the Israeli courts have ruled that the government must allow illegal Bedouin settlements in the Negev proper infrastructure on humanitarian grounds. Why the rank discrimination against Jews?

The surface reasons are obvious enough. The Olmert government makes no secret that it wants to make the home of the patriarchs an all-Arab city. When in 1979 Jews moved into the abandoned Beit Hadassah building it was against the wish of the Israeli government and subsequent governments have also been hostile. If the Israeli government callously expelled 8,000 Jews from their communities in Gaza, despite the fact they had built their model communities at the urging of successive Labor and Likud governments, how can the relatively small number of Jews in Hebron expect sensitivity to their needs?

But there are more fundamental reasons. Yossi ben Aharon, who served as chief of staff to Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir, recently described the transmutation of the terrible hostility toward the Irgun that during Israel’s War of Independence led to Jews firing on fellow Jews on the Altalena into today’s hatred of “settlers,” especially religious Jews in Judea, Samaria and (until their expulsion) Gaza. Once again it is a one-sided hatred, motivated this time by an irrational projection of blame for Arab (and Moslem) hostility on Jews living outside the 1949 Green (armistice) Line. It is this mindset of much of the secular public that has allowed the Olmert government to behave ruthlessly to the eight families of Beit HaShalom–and to pursue the morally and strategically insane policies leading it on a Roadmap to Nowhere.

Now the Jews of Beit HaShalom face expulsion. Ignoring that the case is before the Supreme Court (i.e. the rule of law), Olmert arbitrarily revoked the purchase and according to PA officials has “guaranteed” them that evicting the Jewish families from Beit HaShalom tops his agenda. •
