New Evidence Revealed About Rabbi Binyamin Zev & Talia Kahane's Murders!

I am sorry I missed the memorial for Rav Binyamin & Talia Kahane ztz"l, not to hear the latest evidence revealed, but hear stories about their very interesting, and Torah-dedicated, lives, and to honor them.

I am certainly intrigued, and hope to learn of this new evidence, and to post it here. So, stay tuned.

I remember hearing of their deaths. I was living in Ofra, and teaching in Beth El at the time. While at work, one of the history teachers, also from Ofra, received a call from her brother who was the paramedic first on the scene. He told her of the violent circumstances of their deaths. It was a miracle that the children and one additional passenger were not injured more than they were.

Two years later, I was in K'far Tapu'ah for Shabbath for the first time. I asked one of Rav Binyamin Zev's closest friends who he thought was response for their deaths. As is mentioned below, he said that he believed that it was just a horrible tragedy, and that there was no evidence to the contrary.

I could tell that even after two years, their murders were still very fresh in everyone's minds.

Kahane supporters to reveal new facts about leader's murder at tonight's memorial in Jerusalem

A close associate of the late Rabbi Binyamin Kahane announced that he will be breaking 10 years of silence tonight and revealing painful facts, that have yet to be published concerning the murder of the former leader of Kahane Chai. In a release published on his facebook page, the key activist reveals that after months of deliberations, he has reached the conclusion that he must speak out and that he must share his new conclusions regarding the murder.

Until now, the Binyamin Kahane faction, has refrained from referring to the murder as an assassination and has claimed that they have no clear evidence to indicate that this was a pre-arranged assassination and not a random murder of Jews by random Arab terrorists on the road, which was common enough in those days. As a result of new facts that have recently surfaced, the Kahanists now believe that Rav Binyamin Kahane was specifically singled out by leaders of the PA. From the recent release dispatched by the Kahanists it seems that they may be pointing an accusing finger also at the Israeli government for some level of collaboration with the PA. Something that might explain the strange obsession former Shin Bet Chief Avi Dichter had over this issue, when he repeatedly pleaded with the Kahane and Herzlich families to accept his denial of the Shin Bet having played any role in the murder of the Kahane couple. At the time, strangely enough, none, other than Dichter himself, even suggested the thought.

The Binyamin Kahane faction within Kach have always shied away from media gimmicks and from the typical right-wing conspiracy theories, something which makes the recent proclamation and hinted allegations much more credible indeed. Surely, the hundreds who will gather to pay tribute to their fallen leader will be eager to hear more about these new revelations to shed more light on the untimely death of Rav Binyamin Zev Kahane and his wife Talya, who were shot dead after being ambushed while driving near Ofra, on their way from Jerusalem, with five of their 6 children in the car, who became orphans on that fatal drive home to Tapuach, ten years ago.,

Tonight at 6 PM family and supporters will gather at Heichal Dovid Hall in Romema Jerusalem, where they will hear various key note speakers including controversial Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira Rosh Yehsiva of Yeshivath Od Yosef Chai in Yitzhar and author of "Torat HaMelech," Shmuel Sackett, Lenny Goldberg, MK Michael Ben Ari and others. Various artists including Ariel Zilber, Ronny Wiseman and Yerachmiel Ziegler will also be there to share new songs written about Rabbi Kahane and about the important issues confronting Israel and the Jewish people.

Chaim Perlman To Be Released

Itziq Sabban, writing in the Hebrew daily Israel Today, reported today that Chaim Perlman is expected to be released within two days.

Judge Nahum Sternlicht set down that...

"There is not any significant nor serious evidence in order to bring a conviction of the suspect (Perlman) for the cited offenses."

He further stated...

"I did not find any actual progress in the base investigation nor in the gathering of new evidence."

Let us pray that Chaim finally does come home!

Torture And Abuse Continue Against Chaim Perlman

I was very upset to receive the following e-mail about a former neighbor of mine. Chaim and his wife are the epitomy of "nice," helping their neighbors and young couples getting started, without a second thought.

Chaim is the son of immigrants from the former Soviet Union who are also no strangers to mesiruth nefesh (self-sacrifice). Chaim was in the process of finishing his B. A. in Education with the goal of being a physical education teacher.

Shabak, Israel's Internal Security Agency Continues to Torture Perlman to Obtain a Confession

Honenu has recently taken on a high profile case. Chaim Perlman, age 30 who was once hired by the Shabak to provide information has enraged his handlers by releasing 20 hours of taped conversations to the public showing how the Shabak incited him to commit crimes against Arabs.

is being charged with a 1998 killing of two - four Arabs. Pearlman denied all the allegations and said in an interview recorded two days before his arrest and aired on Channel 2 that he was being framed. Perlman claimed the Shabak was taking revenge on him because he taped their conversations. His lawyer claimed that the Shabak has no evidence linking the crime to Perlman. In order to save face, the Shabak needs to obtain a confession. Many times in Israel, a confession is proof of guilt even if there is no evidence corroborating the confession and even if the evidence contradicts the confession. The Shabak denied Perlman a basic right, a meeting with his lawyer. It was 10 days after his arrest that Perlman was finally able to meet with his Honenu lawyer due to Honenu intervention and a ruling of Justice Edmond Levy. Perlman confided to his attorney of the torture he was enduring ie: being handcuffed for 18 hours a day, beatings etc. Now after 19 days under Shabak interrogation, Honenu is once again charging the Shabak with continued abuse.

Over the years, there quite a bit of attention has been on Yitzhar.

Why Yitzhar?

I'll tell you why. It's really quite simple.

Yitzhar is by far the most ideologically-loyal town in the Shomron, and thus the biggest threat to the Israeli government.

Take down Yitzhar, and most everyone else in the Shomron (Samaria) will get up and go quietly.

Thus, Yitzhar has been one of the government's main [what I like to call] "Jewish Expulsion Laboratories," (That's expulsion, not propulsion.) experimenting with a variety of strategies to remove Jews from their towns and homes.

1. Torah-hating Jews and Yishma'elim (Arabs) have been given free reign to burn and destroy everything in their path. They have systematically burn fields, uprooted vineyards, including just before and during the Shmitah (Sabbatical) year, when Jews were powerless to do anything to repair most of the damage.

2. They even accuse Jews of doing some of the damage, sometimes even when trees have been properly pruned.

...said that left-wing activists look for trees that have been pruned, and then blame the Jews for cutting them. "They have even admitted to the police that they do this," he said, "such as in the case of Ein Avus near Hawara [south of Shechem]. In that incident, they blamed the people of [nearby] Yitzhar, because Yitzhar was a convenient media target. (Read more...)

3. IDF guards have, at the very least, not been given proper training regarding true, Torah Zionist culture. One soldier ignored an Arab entering the town on Shabbath because he assumed that it was a Yishma'eli worker. Of course, unlike other towns, the residents of Yitzhar would not allow any "work" to be done on Shabbath; they would not allow any Yishma'elim into Yitzhar at all! That "misunderstanding" resulted in the stabbing of a nine-year old boy.

4. Rabbis are arrested for teaching Torah and halachah, (Sabbatical) which happen to be contrary to Israeli Law.

5. So-called "Administrative Detention" orders have been given out by the IDF Central Command, resulting in the expulsion of Jews from towns, placing unimaginable financial and marital stress on residents.

Even un-Jewish [former] MK Zahava Gal-On (Mere"tz) has raised her objections to the use of this strategy:

"Noam Federman should be put on trial or released. Circumventing the law rather than upholding it points to hysteria and bewilderment and does not achieve its purpose." (Rosh HaShannah 5764/Sept. 30, 2003)

6. Recruitment of die-hard mamlakhtim (undying state loyalists) to relocate to ideological towns, thus changing the electorate. This has been done quite successfully just south of Yitzhar in K'far Tapu'ah, by the previous mazkir (town manager), who was believed to have been a plant. Reports of such a strategy being implemented in Yitzhar have been reported to me as well.

7. Of course, there are the [generally] biannual Shabba"k (General Security Service) "sweeps." Last fall, the investigations were supposedly about the alleged attack on Prof. Sternhell. A month ago, 15 residents of K'far Tapu'ah were dragged in, for I don't know what. It has been suggested that Shabba"k agents must justify there hours, by keeping logs of their activities, much like police officers have been accused of giving out large numbers of tickets at the end of each month to meet their quotas.

I am not so sure of that. Personally, I believe that the government has more devious motives, than its departments having to justify their budgets. Since when has the Israeli government garnered a reputation for financial responsibility? Besides, while Jews are building Sukkoth or cleaning for Pesah (Passover), what else does the Shabba"k have to do?

Yitzhar is not alone. Bat-Ayin, southwest of Efrat, has seen an increase in harassment on Shabbath in recent weeks, with Torah-hating Jews arriving on the scene to "help" the Yishma'elim (Arabs) work their fields. Only two months ago, Bat-Ayin suffered yet another horrible tragedy, the murder of a 13-year-old boy, and the wounding of a 7-year-old boy.

The Israeli government's experiments with how to expel thousands of Jews from their homes, in order to hand it over to our Yishma'eli enemies have also been taking place in Homesh, Havath Gil'ad, Shvuth Ami, and Adei Ad in the Shomron, and Hevron and Ma'on in Yehudah (Judea).

And who can forget Amona?




But, you ain't seen nuthin' yet...

When Lord King Emperor President B. Hussein Obama issues his command to vassal serf plebeian Prime Minister Netanyahu to kick Jews out of our Holy Land, there won't just be scrapes and scratches, and a few broken bones.

The Israeli government will have to send a real message to the settlers that they mean business.

Of course, many settlers are like those in Migron, who seem to be getting ready to get up and move. Once in Ofra, it was decided to take down a satellite neighborhood, before the IDF had a chance to. Gee! That really showed 'em!

Most everyone else will have their eyes on Yitzhar. The prevailing attitude will be, if they can take down Yitzhar, they can take down any town.

There is no need to say that they will come at night.

The efforts of Yitzhar's residents to reduce the IDF presence in their town, and to do their own guard duty will have been fruitless.

Cameras will be destroyed. Cellular phone and Internet communications will be jammed. But just for good measure, police name tags will be nonexistent. The government will have learned from the mistakes it made before and during the expulsion of Jews from Azza (Gaza).

Escape routes will be blocked off, and no child's cave or makeshift fort will be unturned. No warning will be given. No bags will be packed. Nothing will be spared, not a single pair of tefillin, not a single teddybear.

Everything will be burned to the ground.

The government will proclaim large amounts of compensation,...which Yitzhar's expelled residents will never see.

Photographs of the aftermath, along with a few of men with long payos striking a soldier and a police officer or two, will be carefully chosen and leaked to the right media outlets. Fear will be the result, not outrage. The media will already have succeeded in demonizing the settlers enough, so that everyone will think, "They got what was coming to them." Although, this will never be heard out loud, except for maybe in a house or two in K'far Shmaryahu, Ramat Aviv Gimmel, and yes, even Giv'ath Shmu'el.

All of this will surely come to pass, unless...

...unless we cast away our rose-colored glasses and naivete, and acknowledge what the government is trying to do.

...unless we cast away silly notions that the government is "holy."

...unless we cast away the idiocy that the government and the Torah are never in conflict.

...unless we finally stop whining that, "There's nothing we can do. We must accept that ge'ulah (redemption) will come qimah qimah (slowly, slowly),* sometimes takes a step backwards, and there's nothing more important than loving our fellow Jews...(even though that's not the halachah and even though these "Jews" are throwing you out of your homes and giving your land to our Yishma'eli enemies)."

Unless we stand up and do our part, Yitzhar and towns like it will be history.

Shabba"k Encounter Update

Here is a brief follow up to My Encounter With The Shabba"k which I have been meaning to write for quite some time. I was prompted to post this by a response to the way I handled the encounter by Talking Loud, Saying Nothing.

At the conclusion of my meeting with the Shabba"k (General Security Services) agents, a couple of days before Yom Kippur, they asked me not to say to tell anyone that they wanted to see me again. They seemed a bit surprised that I had already mentioned to people that they wanted to meet with me. I simply said that I had to tell my boss at work, in case I was late coming in.

They then said that I should only mention anything else if asked, and if asked, that I should tell people that the meeting was about the announcement found near the attack on Prof. Sternhell.

Obviously something was up. I doubt that I part of any greater plan, but rather just being tested to see if I could be "turned," and be of some use to them.

I followed the advice I had received ages ago, which was to tell anyone and everyone. And now, I am of no use to them.

These agents never ended up calling me in for a follow up meeting. Whether they ever intended to or not, I don't know.

Now as to why I met with them in the first place, everything happened so quickly, that I didn't have the opportunity to seek any guidance. I feared that if I called anyone on the phone I would be compromising them. I even thought that my phone was bugged, as I received my first phone call from them just when I began using a cell phone I borrowed, I later discovered had been in the Shabba"k's possession at one time.

After discussing the various events with those having experience with such matters, it seems more likely that the Shabba"k simply knew who I was, from living in K'far Tapu'ah and from my associations, and if anything tapped into my line.

After failing to obtain advice, I decided to go into the meeting. The main reason I decided to do so was an attempt to feel more in control than by not going in. This was one strategy I learned in Tapu'ah from seasoned Shabba"k targets. It felt better to me than worrying about when they were going to come and get me. Not everyone agrees with this strategy. Although I believe it worked for me. I added to this by mentally preparing myself to accept the worst case scenarios.

I have known people to lose their jobs due to a Shabba"k interview, lose security clearance and thus job opportunities, lose a weapons license, to undergoing sleep deprivation for a few days. Yep. Most people would call this a form torture.

Now, I believe the next time, when and if they decide to "invite me" in for another "visit..." involuntarily, I will be more level-headed to deal with the situation because of my past experience with them and with police.

Talking about my experience helped in a lot of the traditional ways. I discovered that many more Jews were "invited" into meet with the Shabba"k. The more I talked about my experience, the less anxious and isolated I felt. I didn't realize just how people I knew who were interrogated over the same presenting issue. It was as if they were trying to make some sort of quota.

Several Ramba"mim, Jews who hold by the Ramba"m, were some of those also targeted this time around. Some have claimed that Ramba"mim and those with Breslover influence in Yo"Sh (Judea and Samaria) are numbers one and two on the Shabba"k's "most dangerous" list. Whereas "Kanahists" and "Chabbadniks" seem to be farther down on their list. Who knows? But what all of these groups have in common is that their loyalties do not lie with the "almighty state" leHavdil; they lie elsewhere. And this both disturbs and perplexes the powers that be.

There is no question that the Shabba"k's recent interrogations will add to their research data base of settler profiling, to assist them in dealing with any resistance to future attempts to Jews from the homes and towns. Yitzhar and Hevron, as well as smaller towns such as Adei Ad near Shiloh, are their current laboratories, where they observe the reactions to various strategies.

How do settlers react to leftist provocation? How do they react to police entrapment? How do they react to Arabs who are egged on by [un-] Jews? These are some of the questions being asked during their research.

There is, of course, also the greater issue of general state loyalty. As the religious population increases, and attempts to infuse the country with goyim from the Former Soviet Union and the U. S. are running out of steam, new strategies are needed to combat what the Eruv Rav government sees as a threat to their control: The Torah. Shabba"k laboratory experiments will be considered useful in their pursuits to maintain power.

Observations are made at Haredi protests against grave desecration, the gay parade, and autopsies. Once the government feels it has a handle on the settlers, the Haredim will be the focus of their next targets. It's too bad that they don't realize this.

To conclude, I would like to pass on some advice from the Honenu Legal Defense Fund, when confronted by the Shabba"k. It was relayed to me by one of my Ramba"mi friends. According to him, it is advised only to say the following four things, in order:

1. I have not committed any crime.
2. I do not trust you.
3. I do not believe in you.
4. And so, I will not speak with you.

They emphasize the importance of providing the reasons why you will not speak with them, before you actually say that you will not speak to them.

I also consulted a lawyer with experience in these matters, who, after chastising me for speaking to the Shabba"k in the first place, said that I was under no legal obligation to talk with them.

Anyone, leftists included, still believe that we don't live in a police state? Sure, leftists may agree with their actions, but what if the shoe were on the other foot?

My Encounter With The Shabba"k

I was "invited" into talk with the Shabba"k (General Security Services) Tuesday, apparently as part of its investigation into the attack on Prof. Ze'ev Sternhell, which took place a couple of weeks ago.

I hadn't even heard of this professor until I heard about the attack on him. I hadn't even known his name, until the Shabba"k agents mentioned it. That's surprising, as Ariel Ben-Yochanan reports that this attack received much more media coverage than the attack on 9-year-old Tovia Shtatman of Yitzhar who was stabbed weeks ago by an Arab terrorist who managed to infiltrate the town. At least that was the case in Israel's mainstream news sources.

The Shabba"k agents who spoke with me began by asking me general questions about myself. I got sucked into the idea that if I talked about myself then I would be able to avoid talking about anyone else,...even though I have nothing to say about anyone anyway. I kept talking about myself. Eventually, they brought me to the topic of the poster which was found regarding the attack on Prof. Sternhell. They said very clearly that they know that I had nothing to do with it.

Um,...gee, I hope so, as I never heard the guy's name until that meeting.

They are pretty clever interrogators. It was hard to know when to stop. One minute I was talking about how I arrived in K'far Tapu'ah, and the next the topic was that of the Sanhedrin.

The agents also said they wanted to see me again. They did not seem to want me to talk about this with anyone. But I never agreed to this condition. They told me that if anyone asked why they wanted to meet with me, I should tell people that it was concerning the poster found in the area of the attack. Personally, I think they may be trying to find Jews to work for them.

I would tell you more details of what was discussed, so that I can point out all of the mistakes I made. But the truth is that talking to them at all was a mistake. I was advised to tell as many people as I could that I spoke with them. So, perhaps, no one will ever trust me again. But I doubt that the Shabba"k has much use for a patpatan (chatterbox), which I told them I was three times during the interview.

I sought legal advice, which resulted in being scolded [sort of] over the phone for talking to them in the first place. I was also told that I had no obligation to talk with them, and to tell them that I did not want to talk them, and that's it.

Another attorney sent me a copy of Know Your Legal Rights! A guide to protecting Jewish civil liberties in the land of Israel by Noam Federman.

I was told by one friend that the Shabba"k wants people to feel that the focus is on them, that they're all alone. So, when I showed up to Shabbath lunch today, and was asked how I was, my response, was good, because I have my friends. I am not alone.

A Voice Of Judea e-mail I recently received describes their current activities well:

Witch Hunt Continues Against Right Wing Nationalists in Israel
The Israeli Shin Bet continues to interrogate "settlers" and known nationalists throughout Israel in a monumental effort to find suspects for the recent explosion of a small pipe-bomb outside of Professor Sternhell's Jerusalem home.

Agents identifying themselves as "Ron" and "Guy" have been working overtime interrogating, harassing and threatening dozens of people who are believed to maintain right-wing nationalist views.

Additionally, over recent days, police investigators from the anti-Jewish units have been stopping and interviewing any "new faces" in a continued effort to instill fear in the hearts of new residents and visitors in "settlements" and hilltops throughout Judea and Samaria. New comers are asked to identify themselves, and often brought in for random questions and to ascertain if they are interested in enlisting as informants against "right wing extremists".

Police detectives in the special anti-Jewish squads are often put on traffic detail near "problematic" "settlements" such as Tapuach and Yitzhar to attempt to find traffic offenses in cars driven by known activists.

Voice of Judea Commentary:
Ironically, the more the police leak information about the Sternhell incident the more obvious it is becoming that the perpetrators have nothing to do with the nationalist camp. For example, the flier that was allegedly left on the scene does not have the traditional "beEzrat Hashem" marking on the top of the page. Also, the name of the group that supposedly took credit, refers to themselves as the "Mamlachti" brigade, a term that is anathema to any hardcore right wing nationalist.

Sternhell is an old nutty professor who likes media attention. Could it be that the nut placed the pipe-bomb to get some attention? Could it be a leftist provocation? Arabs are killing Jews and plotting attacks daily, and these morons continue to waste millions of dollars to harass innocent people who they have no evidence whatsoever to connect to Sternhell in any way.

The right needs to challenge the harassment and selective treatment in the courts constantly. This is one of the reasons a group of young activists have enrolled in law schools in Israel to master the system that is so regularly used and abused to neutralize legitimate and legal right wing activities.

Some, like David Wilder , Hevron community spokesman seem to believe that the Shabba"k itself did engineered the attack:

Delegitimizaion of the right in preparation for continued abandonment of Eretz Yisrael and expulsion of Jews from their homes or in expectation of Oslo War – Round three – and guess who's to blame?

The Israeli Government (shades of Avhshai Raviv!!!) and to conclude – who might really have done it? My friends, this is a classic Shabak (Israeli intelligence) kindergarten exercise: Let's make the other side look bad. Leave a small bomb at his home, causing little damage but making a 'big bang' (remember – Srak srak), and then let the Rottweilers (Israel radio, television, internet, etc) out of their cages. And then let public opinion gobble up all those nasty right wingers. And then…. Israel will continue playing 'let's make a deal,' without anyone to disturb the game.

I wonder what they will think of my blog, if they know about it, one of the issues that came up in the interview was that of free speech, and that the professor's free speech should be protected, whether one agreed with it or not.

Will my free speech be protected or will it now be subject to scrutinization? Do I now have to be careful about what I write? We already know that at least one [English-speaking] blogger has been taken in for questioning by the Shabba"k.

Well, now that I actually see some of the things the good professor has written, I no longer think that all of his speech should be protected.

In an article in Ha'Aretz on May 11, 2001 [he] wrote,

"There is no doubt regarding the legitimacy of the armed resistance in the territories themselves. If the Palestinians had a bit of sense, they would concentrate their struggle against the settlements…"

And in the Davar newspaper in April, 1988

"Fascism cannot be stopped with rational arguments. This can be stopped only by force, and when there is willingness to risk a civil war. When necessary, we shall have to forcibly deal with the settlers in Ofra or in Elon Moreh. Only a person who is willing to advance against Ofra with tanks will be capable of curbing the fascist drift that threatens to inundate Israeli democracy."

Sounds like incitement to me. I don't happen to see how killing him, though, would help matters.

And so, as I write this I await the Shabba"k's phone call. Will they come after me anyway? Will I lose my job, when I am late, or a "no-show" at work, and don't even call? I know at least one person who had this happen to him.

It doesn't matter; it can't matter. All through Yom Kippur I thought about whether I was to be more afraid of HaQadosh Barukh Hu or of mere human beings. The answer is clear.

I guess I'll find out what they can actually do to me. Either they will send the police out to bring me in, and hold me for a while, or realize that there really isn't any point to it. One colleague suggested the Shabba"k functioned like the agents of Latin American juntas. I hope not. But if so, there's nothing I can do about that. Stayed tuned...

Jerusalem Demonstration In Support Of Ami Meshulam and his family

Tonight I stumbled upon a demonstration in support of Immanuel Yedidya (Ami) Meshulam, now in Canada for medical treatment for undetermined illnesses, allegedly from a lethal drugs injected into him by agents of the persecutory Israeli government. I know, I know. But read on, just a bit more.

Ami Meshulam is the son of Rabbi Uzi Azulai Meshulam who is best known for raising awareness, and pursuing justice for the Yemenite children, kidnapped during the early years of the State of Israel.

This case has both disturbed and fascinated me for years. It disturbs me not only that Yemenite children were kidnapped from the families, but also because there has no real response from the government, save for the persecution of those in pursuit of the truth.

The Rosh Yeshivah of the yeshiva high school where I last taught is one of the non-kidnapped victims. He has a brother out there, possible still alive, who was taken from his parents over 50 years ago.

I have been fascinated by the thoughts of seeing families reunited someday.

Rabbi Uzi Meshulam claims to have compiled a list of 4,500 names of missing children.

You can read the background story in English. It is like something out of a film about CIA cover-ups. Only this one features the Mossad and Shabba"k (Israeli secret police). It also features a Waco style stand-off, known as the Yehud Incident.

But, that's not even the half of it.

I have heard various names thrown around of big rabbis and [sitting] government officials who he claims were involved in the kidnappings and subsequent cover-up, as well as big name rabbis who turned him over. In the words of the man with whom I spoke at the demonstration, "...the Erev Rav."

I have yet to find any of those names on his supporters' website. Yet there is a lot of material out there, including videos, to be examined.

This is not the only case of non-Ashkinazy children allegedly being abused by the Israel government. The documentary "The Ringworm Children" exposes the radioactivity experiments which were carried out on children of mostly North African descent.

Some of you will scoff at the incidents presented here, and called them convoluted conspiracy theories.

One of the fliers that was being handed out included a quote from Mori Hayim Sinwani ztz"l, Rav Uzi's grandfather and rav who originally instructed him to look into the issue of the kidnapped children:

"The state that sells its children in the end will be sold to its enemies."

Sounds like prophecy to me. Examine the evidence. Something is rotten in Israel.
